Founder Story
Hi, I'm Nick Clark, I'm 23 years old, and this is why I created Optimal Hydration™.
I've always been interested in the benefits of electrolytes, but growing up, I could never actually experience them the way I felt others did. Drinks like Gatorade caused stomach discomfort, and other options either tasted bad or felt off. Later on, I tried newer brands like Liquid I.V. and others, hoping they'd be better—but they all had the same issues: too salty, too sweet, too artificial, with unbalanced formulas and a lack of a well-rounded approach.
That's when I started questioning everything. Why had something as basic as hydration become so complicated? Every product was built for an extreme—not for real life. And the frustrating part is, most people don't even realize how much proper hydration can matter to how they feel day to day.
So I decided to fix it.
Where It Really Started
I wasn't in a lab. I was in my bedroom, at my desk — with ingredients, scales, measuring tools, and notes covering every surface. No fancy setup. Just me, a laptop, and an obsession I couldn't shake.
Optimal Hydration™ didn't start as a company, it started with me wanting something that:
- Actually hydrated me
- Didn't taste like ocean water
- Didn't cause stomach discomfort
- Was a formula built for everyone at any time, not just extremes (like running marathons or hangovers)

The first people who tried it weren't influencers or professional formulators. They were my family and friends.
